- MIDex 1.0b5; a BBEdit extension
- ===============================
-
- This BBEdit extension translates characters from/to the Macintosh charset
- to/from ISO-Latin-1 or DOS.
-
- It has been inspired by Sami-Jaakko Tikka's "Change Charset", but uses
- J.P. Kuypers' famous translation tables for the Mac-ISO-translation.
-
- The Mac-DOS translation tables are mine and should not be considered
- as "final" (hence the "b"(eta) in the version number), though they work
- quite well at this state. Please send me any suggestions/corrections.
-
- As an extra, you may edit (with ResEdit) a third pair of translation
- tables, so that they fit your own special needs. (This is not documented,
- so you should know what you are doing. ;-))
-
-
- The usage is similar to that of Sami-Jaakko's program:
-
- The conversion can be done in place, to a new window or
- the converted text can be copied to the clipboard.
- If there's a selection, MIDex will act on the selection,
- otherwise it will process the whole window.
-
- This extension is Freeware.
-
- (Note: MIDex replaces .../text/bbedit-mac-iso-10b2.hqx)
-
- Viele Grüße,
- Olav
